
Demola Ogunbanjo started his career with the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER), where he participated in several research projects and data gathering and analysis under the Department of Physical Planning and Development, focusing on infrastructure research and development for the third world with particular emphasis on transportation & power projects and their impact on the environment.
He later moved to National Bank of Nigeria where he led the development and implementation of strategies for growing retail products and services in the south-west region of Nigeria. He left the organization in 2005 as Regional Retail Manager, South-West. After a brief stint with MTN's sales and distribution division, Demola later worked as a strategist for both Corporate & SME segments of Vmobile Nigeria (now known as Airtel Nigeria Limited). At Vmobile, he formulated and supervised the implementation of strategies for improved subscriber acquisition and retention, new product development, and sales channels expansion, especially for corporate Nigeria and small to medium scale businesses. He was directly responsible for getting Nigerian banks to sign-on as dealers and sales agents (Service Provider Banks- SP Banks) in a collaborative structure that saw Vmobile's corporate subscribers double in less than 14 months. Demola joined Ocean and Oil Holdings in March 2007 as Manager, Energy Investments, and he later co-pioneered the start-up of Avaizon Consulting, a Strategy and Execution Management practice where he is now Chief Executive Officer. He led the creation, and continues to serve as a director on the board of a new Avaizon subsidiary, OPSL Human Capital, an upstream human capital management firm specially set-up for Oando Energy Services Limited for the supply and management of oil rig workers. Demola has led and participated in a number of core consulting engagements with clients such as the World Bank, Oando Plc., Zain Nigeria, HP, Virgin Nigeria, Triton Aviation, First Bank Plc. and a host of others. A fast growing strategy and EM coach, Demola has trained a number of senior managers at BankPHB, Oando Plc., Chimons Group and Zain Nigeria in various courses such as Managing for Results, Turning Strategy into Action, Essentials of Trade Marketing, Presenting and Communicating with Impact, The Culture of Execution, etc. He actively helps clients in developing business strategies, as well as offering execution management expertise for achieving business goals. Demola offers free knowledge resource to Fate Foundation and Fela Durotoye's AddVantage Series. He is an ardent advocate of the Social Entrepreneurship concept for economic development and poverty eradication. Demola is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, and has studied at Ife, London and Oxford.
Dunni Ajayi has a Bachelors degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the Obafemi Awolowo University, an MBA from the Lagos Business School (Pan African University) and a Masters degree in Finance & Financial Law at the University of London, UK.
Dunni Ajayi has over 10 years experience, acquired across multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Financial Services, Public Sector, Pharmaceuticals, etc. She has developed a strong forte in Business Process Re-engineering, Manpower Assessment and Performance Management, and Project Management. She joined Avaizon Consulting in 2008 as a Manager, where she was National Team Leader on the Investor Information component of a World Bank Investment.
Folashade started her career as a Research Assistant with Triana Limited. Her
responsibilities at Triana included data entry, keeping up-to-date records and
ensuring that accounting controls were adhered to.
She later moved to Bayo Osipitan and Co as a Law Office Attachment from the Nigerian Law School. Her duties included conducting research for legal arguments, gathering clients' background information, attending court sittings with Senior Counsel, reviewing files in preparation for cases, and drafting contracts for leases, mortgages, power of attorney and sale of lands following already established templates. From Bayo Osipitan and Co, Folashade moved on to Strachan Partners as an Associate Counsel. She was responsible for preparing legal arguments and court processes, drafting agreements, litigation, perfection of titles in real estate matters, incorporating companies at the Corporate Affairs Commission, amongst others. She is presently Legal & Compliance Manager, Ocean & Oil Holdings Limited where she negotiated and led a $35 million facility transaction with a reputable international investment company. Following the success of the transaction, she was also appointed as an integral part of the team that negotiated a $10 million bridge loan facility with the same company. She is directly responsible for all regulatory reporting requirements for the companies within the Group e.g. Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Returns, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, document filings in compliance with the various rules and regulations. Folashade also doubles as Manager, Transaction Management for Avaizon Consulting. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to drafting Agreements, Term Sheets and preparing legal opinions; preparing resolutions and managing the logistics with Board meetings; Keeping up to date with other regulatory changes in focus sectors such as aviation, banking and finance, telecoms, real estate etc. across investment regions, and advising the business of any new development; implementing due diligence and Know Your Company (KYC) processes, and ensuring that all the KYC procedures and client documentation are maintained; preparing presentations and regular documentation on the legal implication of affected businesses. Folashade has studied at the University of Lagos, the Nigerian Law School, and the University of Warwick.
Effanga has over 4 years experience spanning across different sectors of the Nigerian economy. He began his career in the Business Advisory Unit of KPMG Nigeria. He moved to Avaizon in 2009 where he has been focused on capacity building for clients in public and private sectors, business incubation and corporate development for organisations in Nigeria.
Effanga was a senior team member in the just concluded World Bank funded Investment Climate Programme. He was also involved in capacity assessment for various state Investment Promotion Councils aimed at assessing their capacity to deliver on their strategic objectives and mandate. Effanga has gathered experience in the area of development advisory with focus on assisting clients in the articulation and development of strategies and other initiatives. While at KPMG Business Advisory, he participated in numerous engagements which involved diagnostic reviews, business process reviews, human resource due diligence, organisation structure reviews and design, development of functional job descriptions, design of learning and development curriculum, skills gap assessment evaluation studies, performance management framework design, development of a revenue management framework. Effanga has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Nigeria. He also holds PRINCE2 project management certification
Ikemefun's over 4 years experience has been mainly in business process transformation, corporate development and execution management support for both small and large organisations across all sectors of the Nigerian economy.
He was previously with the Lagos office of the Business Advisory Unit of KPMG Professional Services, where he was engaged mainly in business process analysis and strategy development for the Oil & Gas, Mining and Manufacturing sectors, as well as Public sector agencies. While with KPMG Infrastructure and Government (I&G) team, he participated in numerous public sector projects such as the development of Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and a Medium Term Sector Strategy (MTSS) for various states in Nigeria, development of micro credit and poverty alleviation strategies, institutional transformation of public sector organisations, state wide organisation structure design, revenue management framework design amongst others. He is presently a senior associate with Avaizon Consulting where he has continued to work with clients across diverse sectors and industries.
Loretta has 5 years of executive administrative, corporate communications and human resources experience.
Prior to joining Avaizon, she was Executive Assistant to the Partners of Àrgentil Capital Partners, a Nigeria based energy and infrastructure advisory firm which provides integrated Investment Banking, Acquisition & Divestitures and Capital Market services to clients focused on the Sub-Saharan region. Loretta's duties at Àrgentil were a combination of administrative and corporate communications management functions. Her duties included coordinating media relations activities for Àrgentil, managing Àrgentil's website, acting as a liaison between Àrgentil and the group HR and Finance team and managing corporate and social events of the company. She was also part of the team that organised Àrgentil's successful launch in 2009, ensuring that pre and post event communication was seamless. |
